The Canadian Heritage Turkey Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities, ensuring accountability, and supporting its mission to advance research, education, and conservation of Canada’s heritage turkey.
The Board reflects a multidisciplinary group with experience in agriculture, research, operations, food systems, and community engagement.
Adam Williams is a farmer and co-founder of the Canadian Heritage Turkey Foundation. He leads the Foundation’s research initiatives and oversees day-to-day operations, including on-farm trials, data collection, and program development.
Prior to his work in agriculture, Adam worked as a VFX editor in the film and television industry. He is also the author of Canada’s Heritage Turkey, contributing to public understanding and documentation of the lineage.
Lucy Schneider is a co-founder of the Foundation and brings extensive experience in business operations and organizational management. She currently serves as Director of Operations for a paint standards company and is the Executive Director of ADCY Media.
Her role within the Foundation includes financial oversight, administrative coordination, and supporting organizational governance.
Grace Williams contributes to the Foundation’s youth engagement and educational initiatives. With a strong interest in conservation and agriculture, she supports efforts to connect younger audiences with the importance of heritage livestock and sustainable practices.
She is actively involved in volunteer work and brings a youth perspective to outreach and education programs.
Ryan Panasiuk is certified in the manual destruction of poultry with professional experience working on regulated culling operations in Canada. He provides guidance on humane handling, welfare standards, and ethical dispatch practices within the Foundation’s programs.
His expertise supports the development of responsible, standards-based approaches to livestock management.
Bailey Wilkes brings experience in outdoor environments and land-based activities, supporting the Foundation’s outreach and engagement initiatives.
His work contributes to connecting conservation efforts with broader outdoor and environmental communities, promoting awareness of heritage livestock within natural and rural contexts.
John Northcott is a retired U.S. Army Military Police veteran with experience in logistics, regulatory processes, and cross-border operations.
He supports the Foundation’s engagement with U.S.-based organizations and provides guidance on international coordination, compliance considerations, and external partnerships.
David Silver is a chef and butcher with extensive experience across restaurant, retail, and food service environments.
He supports the Foundation by providing expertise in meat processing, butchery standards, and culinary applications, helping to connect heritage livestock with modern food systems and public education.
Garrett Keeping brings experience in community support and outreach, with a background in working with youth and individuals facing challenges.
He contributes to internal team culture and external engagement efforts, supporting a collaborative and mission-focused environment within the Foundation.
